Booking Policy
BOOKING
When booking an appointment with Bennett & Barkell, clients must provide a valid name, contact number, and email address. Appointments are only confirmed once the required deposit has been paid and valid credit card details have been provided via our online booking system, Fresha. All payment details are securely stored within the system.
DEPOSITS
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure all appointments.
• A $100 deposit applies to most services
• For extension services or lower-value services, a 50% deposit may be required
The required deposit amount will be clearly displayed at the time of booking. Deposits represent a genuine pre-estimate of the costs and losses incurred if an appointment is cancelled late or unattended. Deposits are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. Deposits are deducted from the total cost of your service on the day of your appointment.
CANCELATION POLICY
We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling, this allows us time to try and fill the appointment space.
• Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, deposits may be transferred to a future appointment
• Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours may result in forfeiture of the deposit, as reasonable compensation for lost appointment time and staffing costs
• Additional charges may apply if the deposit does not reasonably cover the loss incurred
This amount will be debited from the nominated card. In the event that there are not enough funds available on the given card, you will be required to pay any outstanding fees prior to booking any new appointments.
NO SHOWS
If you fail to show up to your appointment, 100% of the service cost is payable. This amount will be debited from the nominated card.
Failure to attend an appointment without notice may result in:
• Forfeiture of the deposit, and
• A charge of up to 100% of the service value, debited from the nominated card, representing a genuine estimate of loss
If insufficient funds are available, any outstanding balance must be paid prior to booking future appointments. Repeated no-shows may result in booking privileges being restricted or revoked. Please be aware that ‘no shows’ are always recorded on your client file.
RESCHEDULING
At Bennett & Barkell we understand that unforeseen circumstances arise and aim to be fair and accommodating. We kindly ask that rescheduling requests are made with as much notice as possible.
In the event that an appointment has been rescheduled more than 3 times in a row (inside of the 48 hour notice window) this will result in 50% payment of scheduled service which will be payable prior to rescheduling the appointment. This payment is a one off fee and is not deducted from any new appointments that may be booked.
We try our utmost best to be accomodating with our cancellation policy, and discretion may be exercised in genuine extenuating circumstances.
BUSINESS CANCELLATIONS
If for any reason we have to cancel or are unable to fulfil your appointment, your deposit will be fully refunded or transferred, at your preference.
